Principal's Message

Welcome back to school!  It hardly seems possible that summer is over and we completed our first week of school.  We have had fun settling back into school routines, connecting with old friends and welcoming new ones.  It was wonderful to see so many of you at our Meet the Teachers Night.  Students are always so excited and proud to introduce their parents to their school, their classroom and their teachers.  Partnership and communication are a big part of how we ensure success for all students.  We spend quite a bit of time in this first month teaching students about what they can do to help make Memorial Intermediate School a safe and happy school where everyone can do their best learning.  This first month, we focus on Citizenship Skills: RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY and SAFETY.  Students demonstrating good character can earn PAWS tickets they can redeem for incentive rewards.  We appreciate and count on parental support in making Memorial Intermediate School a great school for your children.  Thank you for taking time to read through our Student Handbook...it provides important information that will help you partner with us in providing a safe, supportive and successful year for your child.
